The ideal General Manager is an excellent communicator with strong motivational and supervisory skills. As a General Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee the entire restaurant operations to ensure the adherence to Bier Markt’s standards and to deliver outstanding guest service!

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for restaurant financials and recommendations of action plans towards the achievement of budget
  • Ensure completion of accurate and timely periodic financial statements for restaurant in conjunction with the corporate accountant
  • Oversee the ongoing development of the Management team (including ongoing feedback/coaching, and Performance Reviews)
  • Encourage and perpetuate Bier Markt’s culture through effective leadership
  • Oversee the application/execution of front line training programs
  • Oversee the strict application of Bier Markt’s principles and standards to improve guest experience
  • Oversee the execution of national marketing initiatives
  • Ensure restaurant adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper and safe food and beverage service, AGCO, Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, etc.)

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a General Manager in an upscale dining environment with similar sales volume
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in hospitality and/or business related field
  • Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage
  • Excellent understanding of the upscale dining industry
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct others
