You champion our Bier and bar program and at the Bier Markt, this is a BIG deal - You manage the bar and inventory. This includes ordering, receiving and organizing all bar products including our incredible Bier fridge.  It also includes weekly inventory counts, analysis and having a solid understanding of your numbers - You actively manage the shift. You communicate openly and frequently.  You constantly observe the Guest experience and are proactive to ensure every Guest leaves happy - You are the master of Service Standards. You use your knowledge to coach the team and be the best role model for them KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Champion the Bier Markt Culture ·      Clearly articulate the Bier Markt Purpose and Values ·      Identify our values in action and recognize and coach as required ·      Be a role model for our culture at all times     Manage Bier Markt Bar Program ·      Ensure the proper management of bar inventory and keep in line with the cost of sales as per the restaurant budget ·      Count all bar inventory and provide detailed inventory reports every Monday ·      Proper ordering of all bar products as required by the needs of the business ·      Report and troubleshoot any discrepancies or shortages alongside the General Manager ·      Receive, count and organize all bar inventory.  Maintain Bier fridge and equipment involved ·      Communicate to suppliers in regards to all beverage-related requirements, including, glassware, coasters and tap handles ·      Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations   Deliver a Memorable Guest Experience ·      Articulate the Bier Markt key service touchpoints that drive consistency and a differentiated Guest experience.  Observe service and recognize and coach on these moments ·      Manage each shift effectively and efficiently ·      Be the HOST of the restaurant.  We talk to each table because we want to, not because we have to ·      Follow up and successfully resolve all Guest complaints and ensure root cause is identified and corrected ·      Assist the General Manager with action plans that improve all service metrics   Be a Great Operator ·      Meet and exceed required food quality and safety standards ·      Establish and maintain adherence to operating practices and procedures including safe food handling, HACCP, inventory counts and product rotation ·      Maintain standards for opening and closing procedures.  Complete and track completion of all activities with the daily checklist ·      Implement all new menu roll outs as per brand standard ·      Adhere to cash operating and control procedures ·      Conduct weekly maintenance of facilities, equipment, exterior parking lot and grounds ·      Comply with provincial legislation regarding employment standards, human rights, Health & Safety, WHMIS ·      Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service   Team Focus ·      Ensure ‘one to ones’ are conducted on a regular basis ·      Conduct Alley Rally’s ·      Support and utilize the Bier Markt recognition program ·      Support the Training Manager with new hire training and ongoing initiatives   Local Restaurant Marketing (LRM) ·      List the LRM initiatives for the upcoming year ·      Communicate the upcoming LRM activities in a timely manner ·      Support and utilize the Bier Markt recognition program   Self Development ·      Always be working towards one new goal for yourself ·      Own your own development ·      Utilize the learning opportunities offered by the company   WHAT MAKES YOU THE RIGHT PERSON? ·      Heart for service, serving Guests and Team members ·      Ability to work independently and in a team ·      Professional ·      Passionate ·      People-Centric ·      Curious ·      Initiative and resourcefulness, doesn’t need close supervision ·      Detail oriented ·      Outgoing ·      Positive ·      Adaptable ·      Respectful   WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
